If you are not buying or using supplements or herbal remedies formulated specifically for children, use these guidelines to give them a safe proportion of the daily adult dosage which will be printed on the label.
Safe Doses for Kids
Under 4 years: The digestive tract is still not fully formed, so unless you know what you are doing, seek professional advice before DIY dosing. Herbs can be as potent as prescription drugs (which is why they work) and can interfere with existing medication. Check for contraindications before DIY dosing.
4-6 years: Give a quarter of the recommended adult dosage
7-10 years: Give half the recommended adult dose
11-14 years: Give three-quarters of the recommended adult dosage
15 years plus: Give the adult dosage
